Step and Repeat Prices

Prices are one the most-sought after information when it comes to step and repeat backdrops, especially as most companies force you to call or email them to get a quote.
In order to help you figure out what type of banner you can afford, you will find below some pricing information based on our experience working with event production and printing companies. Please note, these are ranges or estimates and you should do your homework by contacting various step and repeat backdrop manufacturers to get an accurate quote.
Before we get started with the actual prices, you should know that there are several factors affecting your final price, besides the size of the wall:

  • Material: usually vinyl, which quality can vary widely
  • Finish: just like photo, do you want matte or glossy?
  • Colors: will the logos be black and white or features color? Will the banner be white or another color (sometimes black, red, or blue).
  • Accessories: does it come 1) with the stand, which can be aluminum or metal and with 2) with a carry-on bag?
  • Installation: will it be installed professionally or will you have to assemble it yourself?
  • Custom build options: Is it fully customizable or are you limited to a template?
  • Will you hire a brick-and-mortar company or go through a website offering templates?

As you can see, there a lot of things to take into consideration before even thinking about pricing. Once you know exactly what you want you can start shopping around.

In the meantime, here are some prices to give you an idea:

  • 8×8 backdrops go from $100 to $500.
  • 8×10 backdrops go from $100 to $600.
  • 8×12 backdrops go from $150 to $700.
  • 8×16 backdrops go from $200 to $1,000.
  • 8×20 backdrops go from $220 to $1,300.

As you can notice, these are pretty wide ranges which make it affordable for everybody: on the lower end, you will find websites with templates where you can upload your logos and do everything online while on the higher end, there are your typical event production companies. To be frank, it might be better to order a step and repeat banner which price is in the higher end (around 75%) to make sure you get a quality product. However, it also depends on your event: if it’s small-scale event which doesn’t need photography, there’s no need to waste money on a matte finish and fancy setup and you can select the lowest price.
